The University of the East (UE) Red Warriors have kicked off their offseason player acquisitions with a significant addition: one-and-done Fil-Canadian standout David Penney. Standing at an impressive 6-foot-2, Penney brings a formidable skill set to the Red Warriors, aiming to make an immediate impact in UAAP Season 87.

Notably, Penney shares ties with fellow Red Warrior Hunter Cruz-Dumont, as both athletes honed their skills at Simon Fraser University.

The confirmation of Penney’s move to the UAAP was made by Anthony Brodett of Phenom Championship Clinic, who represents the talented playmaker. In a statement shared via Facebook, Penney expressed his excitement about joining the University of the East and playing alongside notable teammates such as John Abate, Jack Cruz-Dumont, and Precious Momowei under the guidance of coach Jack Santiago.
