In a notable development in the NCAA basketball scene, Shawn Umali and Mark Denver Omega have found new homes, marking the beginning of a fresh chapter in their collegiate careers.
Shawn Umali, formerly with Lyceum of the Philippines University, has committed to De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (CSB). Umali, known for his skills and contributions, brings his experience to the Blazers after three seasons with his former team. The Season 98 Most Improved Player’s arrival is anticipated to make a significant impact, potentially filling the void left by former MVP Will Gozum.
Mark Denver Omega is returning to familiar territory, choosing to play for Colegio de San Juan de Letran, his alma mater from NCAA Season 93 to 95. Omega’s decision to come back home is poised to boost the Knights’ redemption bid following a challenging Season 99, where they secured just two wins in 18 games.
Both players will undergo residency, gearing up for eligibility in NCAA Season 101. As the Knights and Blazers prepare for the upcoming season, the addition of Umali and Omega adds depth and potential game-changing contributions to their respective squads.
