The Creamline Cool Smashers are gearing up for another formidable campaign in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) with the completion of their impressive preseason recruitment haul. Adding to their already star-studded roster, Creamline has secured the services of Philippine women’s beach volleyball standout Dij Rodriguez, further solidifying their status as a powerhouse team in the league.
Following their flawless 15-0 sweep of the 2023 PVL Second All-Filipino Conference, Creamline continues to bolster their lineup with top-tier talent. The acquisition of Rodriguez, alongside former Choco Mucho stars Denden Lazaro-Revilla and team captain Bea de Leon, further strengthens the Cool Smashers’ bid for dominance in the upcoming season.
Rodriguez brings a wealth of experience and versatility to the Creamline squad, having excelled on the beach volleyball court as half of the national women’s team tandem with Gen Eslapor. Standing at 5-foot-6, Rodriguez is known for her all-around skills and ability to play multiple positions, making her a valuable asset to any team.
According to head coach Sherwin Meneses, Rodriguez will primarily serve as an opposite hitter for the Cool Smashers. Described as a heady player with exceptional defensive prowess, she is expected to provide valuable support alongside fellow beach volleyball standout Bernadeth Pons to three-time conference MVP Tots Carlos.
