The Cool Smashers showcased their dominance on the court, clinching the win with a final scoreline of 25-22, 21-25, 25-22, 25-19. Tots Carlos spearheaded the offensive onslaught for Creamline, delivering a stellar performance with a career-high 31 points. Adding to the firepower, Jema Galanza contributed 15 points to help secure the victory for the Cool Smashers.
The match also marked the highly anticipated debut of Bea De Leon and Denden Lazaro-Revilla for the Creamline squad. De Leon showcased her skills with five points, while Lazaro-Revilla made her presence felt with 11 excellent receptions, providing crucial support to her team.
On the opposing side, Fifi Sharma led the charge for the Akari Chargers with 14 points, displaying her prowess on the court. Ced Domingo, facing her former team, contributed four points in a valiant effort for the Chargers.
With this win, Creamline improved their record to 2-0 in the tournament, maintaining their strong start to the season. On the other hand, the Akari Chargers fell to 0-2 as they continue to search for their first win in the conference.
In an earlier match, the Farm Fresh Foxies secured their first victory in the competition with an impressive straight-set win over the Capital1 Solar Spikers. The Foxies dominated the court with a commanding performance, clinching the victory with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-16.
