In an impressive display of skill and determination, Filipino mixed martial artist Carlo “The Bull” Bumina-ang kicked off the year with a resounding first-round victory at ONE Friday Fights 50 held at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Bumina-ang showcased his prowess early in the match, securing his fourth consecutive win with a ruthless arm triangle choke against Chinese opponent Xie Zhipeng. The Team Lakay fighter wasted no time asserting his dominance, delivering a powerful right hook that sent Xie to the mat within seconds.

Seizing the opportunity, the 29-year-old Filipino continued his relentless assault, employing ground and pound techniques before transitioning to the mount position. The final blow came as Bumina-ang locked in the arm-triangle choke, solidifying his victory in the first round.

Representing the women are Aira Villegas, 28 (50kg), Claudine Veloso, 24 (54kg), Nesthy Petecio, 31 (57kg), Riza Pasuit, 31 (60kg), and Hergie Bacyadan, 29 (75kg). According to Manalo, this ten-member team completed a training session in Australia from January 14-27. They are scheduled to compete in the Boxam Tournament in Alicante, Spain, from January 29 to February 4.
