Carl Jammes Martin, the undefeated super bantamweight prospect, has caught the eye of MP Promotions president Sean Gibbons, who envisions a future world champion in the young fighter.
At 24 years old, Martin boasts an impressive professional boxing record of 23-0 with 18 knockouts. Last year, he inked a deal with Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) and TGB Promotions, in collaboration with MP Promotions, signaling a significant step forward in his career.
Having witnessed Martin compete firsthand in December, Gibbons is convinced of the prospect’s potential. “He is everything I thought he was. We got another Filipino champion coming,” Gibbons remarked in an exclusive interview.
Martin’s dominance in the ring has been evident in all his fights, with his most recent victory against Chaiwat Buatkrathok ending in a technical knockout. While all his matches have been held locally, plans are underway to secure his US visa, allowing him to showcase his talents overseas.
Gibbons is optimistic about Martin’s trajectory, projecting that it will take the young fighter just four more fights to claim a world title. “At the most, four fights. I think we do at least one or two in the states, do a title eliminator, and hopefully the last one a world title,” Gibbons explained.
With Gibbons’ endorsement and a promising career ahead, Carl Jammes Martin emerges as a rising star in the world of boxing, poised to make his mark on the global stage and potentially bring another world championship title to the Philippines.
