The Solar Spikers displayed a stellar performance, clinching the victory with a 25-18, 25-20, 19-25, 25-20 scoreline, showcasing their resilience and determination on the court. Skipper Jorelle Singh led the charge with 12 attacks and one block, setting the tone for her team’s success. Patty Jane Orendain also contributed significantly with nine points, highlighting the team’s balanced offensive effort.
Reflecting on the hard-fought win, Singh expressed optimism about their future performances, emphasizing their commitment to continuous improvement. “We expect to perform even better in our upcoming games,” she remarked, acknowledging the team’s potential for growth and development as the season progresses.
Arianne Layug and Janeca Janine Lana delivered solid performances, chipping in eight points each, while Cathrina Dizon added six points to the scoreboard. Additionally, the defensive efforts of Rica Jane Rivera and Mary Antonette Landicho were instrumental, with Rivera recording 11 excellent digs and Landicho contributing nine.
