The off-season transfer shuffle continues in collegiate basketball as former UP Fighting Maroon Luis Pablo makes the decision to join the De La Salle Green Archers.
Sources have confirmed to ABS-CBN News that the 6-foot-7 forward, a former NCAA Juniors MVP, will be making the move to Taft Avenue, leaving behind his alma mater in pursuit of new opportunities.
Pablo, who made his debut for the Fighting Maroons in Season 86, appeared in 16 games but saw limited action, averaging just over nine minutes per contest. Despite his restricted playing time, the talented forward showcased glimpses of his potential on the court.
For Pablo, transferring to La Salle represents a homecoming of sorts, as he previously suited up for La Salle Green Hills during his high school career. This familiarity with the Green Archers’ program could prove beneficial as he looks to make a significant impact in the UAAP.
The departure of Pablo from UP adds to the list of recent transfers for the Maroons, including Jared Bahay and Chris Hubilla. Their decisions to seek opportunities elsewhere highlight the dynamic nature of collegiate sports and the importance of finding the right fit for individual players.
