Terrence Romeo, a key cog in the team’s lineup, was spotted wearing a cast on his left ankle at the Araneta Coliseum ahead of Game 4 of the Finals. He sustained a “re-sprain” of his left ankle during Game 2, rendering him doubtful for any further appearances in the series, even if it extends to its full duration.
“It hurt even more so I couldn’t play my game if I’m not a hundred percent so I might as well [sit]. My doctor gave me 10 days to fully heal because I was really trying to return right away but I forced it and it just got worse so my goal now is to just fully heal,” Romeo shared with Inquirer Sports in Filipino.
The agile guard was forced to sit out the PBA semifinals due to the same ankle injury, initially sustained during practice last month.
Romeo encountered the setback while undergoing additional training drills with the Beermen before their series against Ginebra, experiencing a concerning sensation in his foot.
